The Explorer

This term we have been reading the book The Explorer written by Katherine Rundell.  The book is about 4 people who crash in a plane in the Amazon rainforest, At the moment in the book the character called Con is taking a risk by revealing  things she may not have wanted to have been said. I am enjoying this book because it is action packed and at every chapter  there's always something big happening!!
Have you ever read any of Katherine Rundell's Books?

Scratch Coding

I have been doing a lot of scratch at the moment, what is scratch?
Scratch is a coding program for school children. I quite like scratch because it is a challenge, and we do scratch so that when we are grown up's we can code software for computers. In scratch the characters you use are called sprites and the backgrounds are called backdrops.
I hope you like this photo of my latest completed project!!
Have you ever had to code before?

Spencer Park Camp

At camp I enjoyed it so much because the parents were there to help they are superstars they went above and beyond.

At Adrenalin forest I loved getting out of my comfort zone, I liked it when I was doing the level 2 long zipline!

Poetry

In writing I have used a poem by James K. Baxter as a starting point to write my own holiday poem. I hope you like it.

Lachie’s James K Baxter Inspired Poetry

Hanmer was usual enough;
It had a lolly pot, a pool, some pedal bikes, a few waterslides and even a Fudge shop.
My family, Amber’s family and I did what swimmers do -
Sliding down the waterslides, pedaling hard on the pedal bikes, fast, quick swimming, relaxing in the egg smelling spas, drying off in the 27 degree sun and Having lots of fun in Amber’s family’s wooden police apartment.

Doing nothing important.
